Local hand delivery

All local orders are delivered by Rural Table using a dedicated hand-delivery service. This allows us to transport fresh and fragile items flat and with care.

We deliver across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.

We deliver Monday to Sunday between 6am and 5pm.

Delivery windows available at checkout include:


Standard Delivery: 8am–11am
Morning Delivery: 12pm–2pm
Afternoon Delivery: 2pm–5pm

2-Hour Delivery Window: select a preferred 2-hour window between 6am and 4pm

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to traffic or operational conditions.

Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your postcode and selected delivery window.

Standard delivery is scheduled within our main delivery window for the selected day.

Additional delivery windows offer a shorter, more specific time slot and are charged at a higher rate.

Minor changes may be possible within a short time after placing your order. Once preparation has begun, changes cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us as soon as possible.

Delivery spots include a front door, concierge, building reception, loading bay, or another clearly authorised access point.

Customers must provide a valid Australian mobile number at checkout and ensure delivery addresses, notes, and access instructions are accurate.

If a loading bay is required, all details must be included in the delivery notes at the time of booking. Loading bays must be directly at or immediately outside the delivery address and, where required, pre-booked by the customer.

If there is no safe or legal place to unload directly outside the address, the customer must meet the driver to accept the delivery.

If incorrect or incomplete delivery details are provided and delivery cannot be completed, re-delivery may be offered subject to availability and will incur a $50 re-delivery fee.

Where available, delivery updates will be provided via SMS or email on the day of delivery.

While we aim to deliver within your selected window, deliveries may arrive earlier or later due to factors outside our control. These variations do not qualify for refunds.

Yes. Someone must be available to receive the order.

A valid Australian mobile number must be provided so the driver can make contact on arrival. The person who placed the order is responsible for being present to receive and check the delivery.

All products must be opened and checked at the point of delivery. Once an order is received, it is considered accepted. If items are not checked at delivery, the order will still be deemed accepted and responsibility transfers to the customer.

If paid parking is required to complete delivery, associated costs may be passed on to the customer.

If no one is available and no authorised safe place has been provided, the driver will wait up to 10 minutes within the booked delivery window. After this time, the delivery may be returned and re-delivery fees may apply. Refunds are not guaranteed for perishable items.

If no one is available, the driver may attempt to leave the order with a neighbour or in a safe place at the delivery address. Where possible, you will be notified of where the order has been left.

Once an order has been left in a safe place or with a neighbour, it is considered delivered and accepted. Rural Table is not responsible for the order after this point.

If delivery cannot be completed and no safe option is available, re-delivery may be offered subject to availability. Re-delivery fees apply and refunds are not guaranteed for perishable items.

All food items must be refrigerated or handled as advised immediately upon receipt. Rural Table is not responsible for product quality once an order has been accepted.

Customers must check all items at the point of delivery. Once an order is received, it is considered accepted.

Any incorrect or missing items must be reported at the point of delivery, before the order is accepted, so we can assess and offer a solution where the issue is due to an error by Rural Table. Photographic evidence will be required.

Issues reported after an order has been accepted cannot be resolved.

If your order arrives damaged, this must be reported at delivery or immediately after receipt with photographic evidence. Issues reported after acceptance may not be eligible for resolution.

If your order is a gift, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the recipient is aware of the delivery date, time window, and storage requirements.

At this time, collection is not available. All orders are delivered via our local delivery service or courier where applicable.
